My Computer Talks!!

Just got off my "computer" with Sophia and Lettie. They called me thru Google Talk. Sophia was on the lamb from the hospital -- a much needed and deserved respite -- hanging out in the condo. She sounded great!

Stuart is back home, safe

Stuman grabbed a stand-by red-eye from LAX to IAH, and got in about 5:30 am Sunday.

He's having a tough time getting back on schedule, so I keep annoying him by waking him every few hours. He doesn't go back to work until Wednesday, and it is rainy, cloudy and overcast here, so it is good sleeping weather.

Stuart on his journey home

While I can watch the flight status info on EvaAir's website, it doesn't tell me if Stuart is actually on the plane, or what his status is. For that, I have our Chase Mastercard! They called this morning asking me about whether purchases at the Duty Free Shop, and a Taipei restaurant were authorized. I assumed both of these were airport related and he had time to shop while waiting for the Taipei to Los Angeles leg of the flight. A good sign.

I can only guess that Lettie and Ben made sure he made it to the airport in time.

So what was the final outcome on the wheelchair? Did you take one with you and make Ben ride in it?

While you were sleeping ....

Sophia's doctors closed up the incisions on her legs. Stuart reports from his Blackberry ...

All is ok. Took longer than I thought. Sophia is in the room.

Slow and Painful Progress

Physical Therapy is difficult. Today Sophia stood up for 4 minutes. She turned in pretty early because she was tired and you can just watch so much coverage of the world cup. We are getting a lot of information about the world cup. We now understand more about how the world cup works than any US sport. I went to see Thai kick boxing that other night and it was very cool.

Reading Material in English Big Hit

Sophia is continuing to do better. The physical therapy is getting harder. She is sleeping better because the increasing difficultly. I went to the Siam Paragon which is a huge mall and got a lot of reading material. I bought a Time, Newsweek, Economist, New Yorker, Atlantic, and the Herald Trib. I think she is already finished with them all. I will have to go on a reading material run this afternoon. I am off the see kick boxing tonight. Should be fun.
